10 YOUTUBE TIPS TO GROW YOUR CHANNEL š
I’m a bit of an introvert, but YouTube is my favorite
social media platform. It works great for me because it allows you to upload
your videos and interact with other people through comments, shares, and likes.
I have over 3,000 subscribers on this TikTok account that I created over 5
years ago. In fact, one of the videos that has been watched almost 1 million
times was from someone who had never subscribed to my channel! How do You Do
That?
Here are some quick tips to get started with growing your
brand or channel on Youtube from scratch:
1. Choose video
length wisely
The first thing you have to understand about your audience
is that there are many different types of people. One person may enjoy
listening to music while another might be more interested in action films or
educational documentaries. Some brands also prefer shorter formats for their
content. If you want to attract younger audiences, make sure your videos only
include short clips, like seconds or less. This will help your videos to stand
out from the crowd and increase your views. For example, if it turns out that
“how to fix car battery cable” is not that helpful, don’t keep uploading longer
videos! Just focus on getting viewers hooked right away so they can watch your
videos again or even subscribe to your channels on future projects.
2. Target keywords
carefully
You need to have something relevant for your niche to gain
traction and attention. People are searching hashtags, tags, phrases, and
phrases in order to find related topics. Make sure that you target these key
words (which could be easily done by using tools such as Keywordtool) that
describe what users are looking for or looking for online. As an added bonus,
search engines will reward sites that rank high for them. Google likes to show
ads when there is much traffic on websites, so you can boost sales without
spending a lot of money (although they do give preference to paid
advertisements).
It’s important that you only target keywords that fit your
style of branding because sometimes people just aren’t into certain subjects or
niches. Take inspiration from popular influencers you know and check out their
work. Look at how they create amazing visuals with simple yet eye-catching
content in various niches. By finding influencers with similar interests, you
can become inspired and use their content to build an identity around your own
brand or channel! Also, make space for branded items or products if possible.
When you upload a product or service, ensure that it matches your company.
Don’t forget that customers purchase products so they can feel that they belong
somewhere!
3. Use SEO well
This tip comes before number 2 and is really important
whether you’re planning to start your new business, or promoting your existing
brand or channel. Search engine optimization (SEO) is vital to gaining
visibility on SERPs and increasing web traffic. Think about your website’s
structure, site architecture, and design. Ensure that everything is optimized
for long-term success. Try to add a few links with relevant keywords throughout
the page or blog. Keep the images sharp and clear so that readers won’t notice
anything else. Be consistent with keyword usage; try to avoid using the same
exact terms throughout. The beauty of SEO isn’t being perfect but focusing on
quality and making the most of every word. Remember that a poor quality website
can end up affecting engagement or even result in losing subscribers. So take
time to build a good foundation so that you can optimize again with better
results!
4. Engage your
community
Engagement is crucial for any successful brand. After all,
its primary goal is to attract new followers and grow your following. A strong
social media presence should allow everyone to engage with each other, which
means creating engaging and interesting content for your followers to consume.
Whether your followers like your videos or share them on Instagram stories,
they will still want to see you and interact with you. They will also tell
their friends if they enjoy watching content you create! However, having too
many active accounts can be overwhelming for those looking for a personal
touch. Consider keeping your content brief but engaging to keep things fresh
and provide value instead of pushing too hard. While not everybody wants to
hear about affiliate marketing or sponsored posts, consider adding a few
reviews from satisfied fans (even happy customers!) so that others have a
positive experience. Having these conversations will help keep your audience
engaged and loyal to your brand. And remember to let your followers know that
if they leave content feedback (even something negative), we will respond.
We’ll always listen, keep creating awesome content, and don’t forget to thank
everyone who supports us in our journey!
5. Post timely
This step seems obvious, but it’s easy to overlook this
element when trying to speed up growth. Sometimes posting every day or twice a
day isn’t enough to reach your goals. Instead, try to post regularly and make
regular updates rather than daily ones. Not only can this increase your
engagement rate and productivity, it will keep people interested in what you
have to say. With frequent posts, your audience will likely notice a difference
in their behavior or even become your biggest fan. What’s more, people
appreciate consistency and trust your opinion. Once you prove them otherwise by
consistently posting and interacting with them, you will gradually gain more of
their support and trust. Of course, this method involves significant effort on
your part, including organizing posts, choosing appropriate tags, and writing
captivating headlines. But once you get going, you can eventually start seeing
your audience on a continuous basis!
6. Create viral
reactions
For many platforms, including Youtube, the way that your
audience reacts is indicative of what kind of content and ideas they enjoy
consuming. Viral reactions (yes, that’s an actual term) happen when a user
shares your content without even knowing you. Most people believe that if they
like the brand or content, others also have to like the creator’s work. Let’s
look at two main ways to generate this viral reaction. First, try to find
trending subjects in your industry. Next, use entertaining memes/gifs to
encourage your loyal fans. Another method is to have fun in the process,
especially if you already know your audience, then turn to sharing funny GIFs.
Simply put, viral reactions lead to great exposure for yourself and help your
videos rank higher on the search results.
7. Get real and
authentic
Real, honest interactions between creators and their
audience not only yield excellent results, but they also help you gain trust
within your network. Being genuine in your communication and showing support
for your fellow creators and employees will go a long way in strengthening
relationships among your audience. Plus, since most of their values are based
on the same content, working together makes sense. Authenticity also increases
credibility, which translates to brand loyalty and increased revenue. People
are more likely to buy from brands that are seen as trustworthy. These traits
are difficult to acquire or maintain if you spend all your waking hours
producing videos and constantly creating content because in truth, you don’t
have any control over the content you put out. If you take your time
researching, crafting, editing, and publishing your content, you will slowly
begin to earn back some control!
8. Join groups and
forums
I find that joining and participating in group discussions
can be invaluable in creating valuable connections and learning from others
like myself. There are plenty of communities dedicated to specific topics, like
tech, travel, fashion, fitness or lifestyle. Even though you can join these
very large groups, the best choice would be to seek out smaller discussion
forums where you can get involved or add value to the conversation. Forums are
often filled with creative individuals who can offer insight on your topic or
introduce new content you could publish or share on your channel. Plus, forums
usually allow you to meet new talent and learn from other influencers in your
category. Moreover, some of the most influential members in your industry often
have big followings on social networks like Twitter. Creating profiles and
signing up for these kinds of online communities often leads to opportunities
for collaborations in the future! And remember, the easiest way to gain access
to these resources is to simply ask your peers! No matter how busy you are,
chances are you’ll be invited to join or join a forum. You can do this through
emails, direct messages, or even just by sending an invitation via Slack. More
importantly, you must always treat others as human beings who may have questions
or opinions about whatever project you have in mind. Remember that the internet
is a public space, and any form of interaction deserves respect. Always ensure
that you are communicating positively!
9. Set goals for your
own brand and channel
One of the best methods of setting small achievable
targets for your overall goals is a SMART goal system. An acronym stands for
Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely. When describing a
goal, I prefer to include objectives and goals in brackets, like this:
[S]pecific is defining what you want to accomplish. Making sure you set
realistic objectives also helps a lot. I also recommend thinking specifically
about why you are doing this. Are you aiming to create an app, website, or a
podcast on your channel, or are you looking for more clients or subscribers?
Here I will be referring to the above steps:
10. Stay Consistent š
Consistency is absolutely essential when building your
channel, but it can be challenging to keep it fresh. In fact, several businesses
fail due to inconsistent releases. Therefore, it’s important to set milestones
consistently and create regular plans for releasing new videos or projects.
Building consistent content for your viewers will enable you to deliver great
content consistently, and this..
